Universal Health Corporation Grows Its Team of Nurse Practitioners

  • October 5, 2020

Welcome, Walter Curtis Hodges, DNP, FNP-C, BSN

Universal Health Corporation (U-Health) is pleased to introduce its new team member, Walter Curtis Hodges, DNP. Curtis brings his extensive nursing experience to U Health facilities in Danville and Martinsville. He will also be a support for our Roanoke and Salem centers and play an important role in U Health’s expansion in telehealth services.

“We’re excited to have Curtis on our team. He has experience in intensive care, progressive care, and medical-surgical care settings,” said Joseph Park, VP of Marketing and Business Development for U Health. “Because of Curtis’s background in both hospital and inpatient rehabilitation facilities, he will be a valuable resource for our clients.”

Curtis earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice from Radford University and he holds two bachelor’s degrees from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC: in nursing and biology.

Curtis joins U Health with ten years of experience as a registered nurse at Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Salem where he supervised teams of nurses, LPNs, and technicians.

Curtis will support U Health’s board-certified medical doctors in caring for patients—post-acute and long-term—who need rehabilitation services and skilled nursing care after surgery, an accident, heart attack, stroke, or respiratory diseases.
