Universal Health will celebrate its tenth year during an outdoor event on May 21 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The family-friendly gathering will take place at the Vinton War Memorial in Vinton, VA and will feature food, attractions, and awards to recognize key individuals who have been instrumental in Universal Health’s journey since its 2012 founding.
“We are excited to celebrate Universal Health’s 10 years of existence,” said Joseph Park, VP of Business Development. “We also plan to commend the members of our team who served our nursing home communities throughout the COVID pandemic and who continue to serve today.”
Both Park and Universal Health President Dr. Alfonso Brochero will address the crowd during the awards ceremony, but the majority of the day will be dedicated to fun. Attendees will be treated to a range of entertainment, from carnival games, bounce houses and face painting to catered food and DJ-provided music. “We’ve received more than 100 RSVPs to date from staff, providers and partners,” said Park. “Folks will be coming in from all over the state.”
Park allowed that people have gone through a lot since spring of 2020 and are eager to gather as a group in celebration of all Universal Health has accomplished. “This company is dedicated to post-acute medicine, and many of those invited have been with us every step of the way, making all the same sacrifices. It’s fitting that we honor them among both their actual families and their professional family.”
He concluded by saying, “We are extremely proud of how far the practice has come in such a short period of time. Improving post-acute patient care and the long-term care environment remains our mission, and over the next ten years, we intend to make a positive impact on even more lives and communities throughout Virginia.”
